Niall Quinn aka ‘Theme Tune Boy’ returns

Niall Quinn makes a return visit as guest of The SongWriter Sessions at The Loft Venue upstairs at The Locke Bar on September 9. A legend in Limerick music circles, Niall was chief songwriter and drummer with The Hitchers releasing critically acclaimed albums in the late 90โ€™s and counted Bob Geldolf and the late, great John Peel as fans.

His first foray into fronting a band led him to forming The Cranberry Saw Us with Noel and Mike Hogan which mutated into the multi-million selling Cranberries with Delores Oโ€™Riordan on vocals. His latest monkier is Theme Tune Boy where he trades in his familiar irreverent lyrics set to mean melodies taking a rye look at everything from living life to football to suicide.

This years single from TTB, โ€˜Roseโ€™ garnered loads of airplay and kudos from the leftfield corners of national radio. Expect to hear his recent material peppered with a couple of Hitcherโ€™s tunes.
