THERE’s no shortage of nonsense, art, drama and entertainment at Loft Venue over The Locke Bar & Restaurant this month. Pictured are some of the culprits airing plays, comedy, music and visual (l-r) Kate Casey of P&P Productions, Mike Finn of Bottom Dog, Lou McMahon of P&P Productions, Locke manager John Ormston and Myles Breen of Bottom Dog.
Mike and Myles are joint writers, directors and actors in Porkville! A Comic History of Limerick. This affectionate, less-than-earnest retrospective starts at 7.30pm its last three nights, Thursday 26 to Saturday 28.
Kate and Lou are the producers of Wednesday nights Sinnan Sessions, doors 9pm for live music by singer/ songwriters, poetry spoken by the poet and a new gallery of art each week by a solo artist.
Loft Venue has its own lounge for lizards and lushes and there is an invitation to all to hang out before and after each show (€10 or €5). Combine your fancy for the arts with a pre-theatre supper in The Locke Bar and its Oyster Restaurant, main courses from €9.95 and a three course meal at €17.95.
