WHILE Leaving Cert students have been encouraged to celebrate their results and the end of their school years, they have been asked to behave responsibly while doing so by members of the gardaí.
Nearly 2,800 Limerick students received their Leaving Cert results this Wednesday and many are now awaiting the release of points requirements for college courses.
Students have been advised to stay with their friends if heading out over the next few days and are reminded that alcohol consumption is illegal for anyone under the age of 18.
“We wish all the students the best of luck and just advise them to be sensible and safe when celebrating”, said a garda spokesperson.
