A MAN is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after an altercation in the city during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The attack occurred on Mungret Street and a male was taken from there to the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
A section Mungret Street was closed to traffic for a time on Sunday as Gardaí carried out a technical examination into the incident.
No arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.
