A 16-year old is in critical following a serious assault at a petrol station in Corbally last night.
The 16 year old male was seriously assaulted on the forecourt of a petrol station at approximately 10pm. He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries which are described as critical.
Gardai investigating the circumstances the serious assault arrested a male in his late teens at the scene and he is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Henry St Garda Station.
