The Sinnan Sessions at Loft Venue

IF looking for late evening fun, culture and the option of a good supper, wander down George’s Quay of a Wednesday night. The Sinnan Sessions present a new line up each week that straddles the spoken word of poetry, original song performance by various musicians and the works of a visual arts show.

Doors open at 8pm, beginning with an opportunity to meet audience members, performers and view the exhibition. The music and song begins 9.30pm (door €10).  P&P Productions are the brains behind this concept, specifically Lou McMahon and Kate Casey.

“The Sinnan Sessions will run every Wednesday for three months, mixing different genres such as folk and classical,” explained Kate at Loft Venue’s season launch. “The artists featured have written the songs and the visual artists are local or advanced”.

The sessions will use different parts of Loft’s stage and adjoining room over the night, with art works placed to the left of the stage. P&P Productions are old hands at bringing together an event of different elements that entertain. Lou McMahon began it all with White Horse Sessions in Kenny’s Bar in Lahinch in 2008 and 2009. White Horse platformed Jack L, Cathy Davey, David Kitt, Mick Flannery and Limerick acts such as Walter Mitty and the Realists.
