A LARGE crowd gathered outside Kings Island Community centre this Monday to protest during a visit to Limerick by Taoiseach Brian Cowen.

The Taoiseach was heckled by a group of protestors who were demonstrating against cuts in respite services.

The Brothers of Charity have been forced, through HSE cutbacks, to make over €1m in savings which the protesters say will directly effect parents caring for family members with an intellectual disability.
