Primrose Beauty and Laser on William Street are currently offering a combined bikini and underarm laser removal treatment for 130euro. I spoke to Sarah Leavy (proprietor of Primrose) this week about the growing popularity of laser hair removal and its increased success rate thanks to ever developing technology. “The success rate has increased enormously for the removal of unwanted hair using laser thanks to the development of new technology” Sarah explained, “and the cost has been brought down dramatically which is great for the customer.”
At Primrose, a laser treatment on the upper lip costs 50euro, and on the underarm costs 49.50euro. How many treatments an individual will need all depends on the person so it is impossible to put a fixed price on it but most clients are advised they could need six to eight treatments maximum, and these are carried out six weeks apart.
“Some people are happy at four treatments” Sarah said, “so the overall cost can be anything between €300 up to €600- €800. Again it all depends on the person. We recommend clients try one area first to see how quickly they respond. We know it works, it’s very unusual that it wouldn’t.”
Primrose often use two machines on the one treatment, especially on the face. The staff all specialize in laser hair removal and have the experience as well as the training to ensure the highest standards are met and clients can expect the highest level of care.
“One treatment can make a huge difference on an area like the upper lip”, Sarah explained, “this technology has moved on so much, it further develops every two years, and this new technology is passed on to the client so it’s very good. We know what machine will work for them, we have the experience added to the improved technology.”
“All the staff here at Primrose are here six years, and have the training and experience. It’s a very motivated staff, and always try to get better and better results for their clients, they’re very good and have a very loyal clientele as a result.”
Primrose have also a new upgraded laser teeth whitening treatment, which removes very stubborn stains, and which, Sarah assures me, is not painful at all. It takes an hour for maximum results costing 99euro for the once-off treatment. Primrose don’t take a client for teeth whitening unless they have been to the dentist first for a full cleaning thus ensuring maximum results from the whitening treatment.
Sarah finished off by telling me, “Our aim is to keep adding high quality procedures and treatments but offering them at a keen price to clients”. Primrose can be contacted by calling into the clinic at 17 William Street, visiting their website at www.primroselaser.ie or calling 061-316652.
