My decision to have breast augmentation was not made lightly. While I’m generally happy with my appearance, I felt my breast size affected my confidence so I made three appointments with reputable clinics to discuss my options. When I went to Auralia, my search was over.
I arrived for my consultation full of trepidation. This dissipated quickly as my surgeon, Dr Salman, made me feel relaxed and reassured from the outset. His professionalism and personable manner ensured I was comfortable, and we spent an hour discussing my options, concerns, expectations and fears.
Dr Salman explained the process he uses, the Biodynamic breast selection system, which allows you to choose the shape and size you want. Clients are fitted for a special garment, with a corresponding set of “seizers” placed inside, giving an insight into what your new breasts will look and feel like post-surgery. You’re encouraged to tweak and change the implants until you are completely happy with the results.
The Biodynamic breast implant system lends itself to a more natural look, which appealed to me, so the process is ultimately an individual, tailor-made approach to breast augmentation. I am by no means an impulsive person but I decided there and then I wanted to book my surgery with Auralia however Dr Salman is determined that all clients make completely independent and informed decisions and encouraged me to give my decision more consideration.
After a few days of deep contemplation, I decided to go ahead and book my surgery. While you’re supported by a comprehensive aftercare programme, what really made Auralia stand out, though, was the personal attention, and while the procedure was more expensive than those at other clinics, I truly believe you cannot put a price on genuine care, professionalism and quality.
As my surgery date drew nearer, old fears began to reappear. What if I had chosen the wrong seizers? What if something goes wrong? And worst of all, what if I am not happy with the implants? I contacted the clinic again, and while the receptionist was exceptionally pleasant, understanding and knowledgeable, I felt it was important to speak with my surgeon again. He patiently went through all my concerns, clarifying and explaining everything once again, even inviting me in for a second consultation prior to my surgery.
Three weeks after my consultation, I had my surgery and, as expected, pre- and post- operative care were exceptional, and the nursing staff was kind and really supportive. Even the immediate post operative simplicity of tea and toast and endless girlie magazines was comforting, and all very fitting with the patient- focused culture at Auralia.
Auralia has its own hospital, a beautifully designed, state-of-the-art facility where patient health, safety and comfort are paramount, meaning the entire process was carried out under one roof. A series of follow-up visits ensured a smooth recovery with no bruising, minimal scarring and little recovery time.
Dr Salman was very realistic in managing my expectations and I was up and running again in no time, without bruises. I can’t thank Dr Salman enough for a wonderful job, leaving me with the beautiful natural looking breasts I have always wanted.
