Limerick advance to provincial football decider

-

Limerick’s footballers overcame the challenge of Waterford last weekend to advance to their second successive Munster Senior Football final.

Limerick ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-17 to 1-9.

The match was filled with controversial moments with Syl Doyle, the Wexford referee, dishing out two red cards to Waterford players Tommy Prendergast and Tony Grey as well as half a dozen yellow cards, five to Waterford.
