THREE men and one woman have been arrested following a crash with a Garda car on the Limerick to Kilmallock Road this Wednesday. The incident occurred shortly after lunch when the Garda car was believed to be in pursuit of a car. A firearm was also seized following the crash.
The crash occurred near Ballyneety where it believed that the garda car rammed a car that was carrying the four individuals. One member of the ERU garda elite unit was brought to hospital to be treated with minor injuries.
Gardai have detained the four, all in their 20s at Mayorstone, Henry Street, Roxboro and Bruff garda stations for questioning.
The garda ombudsman has been consulted in the matter.
