Flights operating normally

THE Irish Aviation Authority reports that the volcanic ash cloud continues to be a risk to Irish airspace. However, as it is not encroaching on Irish airspace it is expected that Irish airports will be operating as normal until at 0700hrs on Saturday.

The ash cloud is located over the Atlantic and currently measures 1,000 miles long and 800 miles wide.

Operations from the USA may be impacted or delayed tomorrow Saturday. Further information will be provided in our next update, which will be issued at 2030

The Authority advices passengers planning to travel by air over the coming days to regularly check their airlines websites and the IAA website for updates in advance of going to the airport.
