STAFF and patrons of the McDonalds restaurants in Limerick were evacuated from three restaurants in Limerick this Tuesday after a bomb scare forced gardai to search the premises.
Shortly after 2pm this Tuesday, lunchtime diners were ushered outside the restaurants on Cruises Street, Dooradoyle and Castletroy after a call to Tralee garda station suggested that a bomb had been placed in McDonalds in Limerick.
With large crowds gathering outside each premises, Henry Street gardai confirmed that searches took place at all three restaurants, but they were reopened shortly afterwards when gardai failed to find anything suspicious.
