Limerick’s Niall Colgan appointed to national hairdressing ‘Style Council’

Niall Colgan, of the Niall Colgan Hairdressing salon on O’Callaghan Strand, has been appointed to the prestigious Wella Professionals Style Council. Unique, talented and passionate about hair, the Style Council represents some of the finest talent in Irish hairdressing. These trend experts have a creative edge, interpreting fashion into hair. Considered to be some of the finest and most influential stylists of today, they inject their unique personality into their creative vision. They are individuals who have carved out an unsurpassed reputation within the industry due to their hard work, high standards and energy.

Niall Colgan launched the Niall Colgan Hairdressing salon just last June at the onset of the economic recession. A brave move which was rapidly rewarded by the loyal clientele that he has built up during his 25 year career in Limerick City. His name is synonymous with expert cutting and technical excellence. Passionate about creative styling, Niall’s 2008 ‘Structure’ collection allowed him to pursue his vision of cutting hair with precision, skill and imagination.

The Style Council believe in ongoing training and the development of themselves and their teams and Niall is in demand around the country giving seminars to share his experience and knowledge with his industry peers. His team of creative staff too are much sought after for fashion shows, TV work and editorial photo shoots.

In their salon work, members of the Style Council believe in individuality and each client is treated with great care to ensure that their personal style always stands out whilst making the most of their hairstyle and the latest trend. The Style Council confidently provide the best client consultation to assess each client’s individual needs and customise the latest trends for their client.

The Style Council also works in close partnership with Wella Professionals, to provide creative inspiration and consultation in relation to education. They regularly teach groups of hairdressers in the Wella Professionals Studio on the latest long hair, cutting, colouring and styling techniques and they travel extensively throughout the country to platform shows and seminars. They are truly passionate about this area of their work as they enjoy nothing more than sharing their skills and knowledge with fellow hairdressers keen to be inspired. Niall Colgan said “I am honoured to have been selected to join the Wella Professionals Style Council”, a position, he says, he “has strived for since I first started working with Wella, and I am very proud to be a part of the Wella tradition, which can be traced as far back as the late nineteenth century.”
