Part-time hours to full-time beauty

FOXHALL Beauty College is offering a qualification in beauty at CIBTAC and ITEC diploma level through part-time courses. Opt for an all-day Thursday (only) course from February 25 or try the same course delivered on Tuesday and Thursday nights from April.

Imelda Cusack, who trained with Bronwyn Conroy, is director of Foxhall Beauty College, this year celebrating its 21st birthday.

“Foxhall has a central location at 72 O’Connell Street, just four doors up from the Belltable Arts Centre towards the O’Connell monument. The ITEC and CIBTAC diplomas are available through the Thursday course, running 9.30am to 4.30pm until August, or by evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm until 9pm, again until August”.

There’s no project work but students work on case histories and do practical demonstrations with each other in the early stages until skilled enough to bring in their own clients later in the course.

“These beauty diplomas cover skincare, eyecare, waxing, make up, pedicures, manicures, some business studies and more. It’s a mix of half theory and half practical. I always tell students to allow for two hours study every day for the exams in October. This is a sophisticated, demanding course and needs that sort of time – put it in and you’ll pass sailing”.

Foxhall Beauty College has a 100 per cent success rate for students passing the academic year’s fulltime CIDESCO course. Look for more details at website www.foxhallbeautycollege.ie or telephone Imelda Cusack on 061-410996, emailing [email protected].
