Could your child be the next Cheryl Cole?

This week a search to find five children to be the face of the new kids’

clothing range BlueZoo was launched. A Debenhams range, the retailer is

hoping to find kids with the right looks and star quality to front its

Bluezoo campaign for the Autumn/ Winter 2010 season.

Cheryl Cole won

many ‘bonnie baby’ competitions as a tot, whilst Brooke Shields was a

model from the age of eleven months, and Xpose’s Glenda Gilson started

modelling when she was just three years of age. The BlueZoo competition

organisers are hoping to find some of the next generation of stars in

this Irish and UK search for modelling talent. With many of today’s

biggest stars starting out in the world of child modelling, Debenhams is

looking for the stars of the future to enter the competition, which can

be found online at www. findthefaceofbluezoo.com. The lucky winners will

represent BlueZoo in all 153 Debenhams stores across the UK and Ireland

and online for Autumn/Winter 2010. They will also be on the books of

Debenhams kids’ model agency and each will receive €200 worth of

Debenhams vouchers. To enter the competition, visit

www.findthefaceofbluezoo. com, upload pictures of your child and

complete the details. The closing date for entries is March 1, 2010,

after which time site visitors will get the chance to vote for their

favourite children in each of the following categories: Babies, Boys

aged 18 months to 5 years, Girls aged 18 months to 5 years, Girls aged 6

to 12 years and Boys aged 6 to 12 years. Voting closes on March 8, 2010.

Four finalists will be selected per category (three by website votes and

one by the Debenhams judges) and will be invited to attend a grand final

in London, which will take place at London Zoo on April 13. The five

lucky winners will be announced on the website on April 20, and will

then attend a photo shoot for the new autumn collection in May. The

winners’ images will appear in stores across the UK and Ireland for

Autumn/ Winter 2010.
