Point to Point

NEXT Sunday’s scheduled Stonehall Harriers Point-to-Point at Askeaton has been postponed due to the continued inclement weather conditions. The Committee made the decision at the outset of the week, taking into consideration the limited likelihood of a full thaw before the weekend.  “It was best to make a call sooner rather than later and we’re now awaiting an early replacement date from the Turf Club,” said a committee spokesperson. Stonehall Harriers is traditionally associated with hosting Limerick’s first meeting of the New Year – it also stages a second outing at Ballysteen later in the season.  More than 230 supporters attended its hugely successful 15th Annual Hunt Ball at the Dunraven Arms Hotel on Saturday night last.
