WATER supply has been badly affected by weather conditions in Co Limerick.
Limerick County Council has deployed water tankers across West Limerick to deal with the problem.
The Council says the crisis has been caused by low water levels in the reservoir near Abbeyfeale including burst pipes and a greater demand because of the freezing weather.
The tankers are being placed in Abbeyfeale, Athea, Mountcollins and Tournafulla during daylight hours.
The Council is asking the public to conserve water and not to leave taps running in their homes.
