Hellolimerick.ie, a brand new online business and events guide for Limerick City and County, was launched this week with the support of leading Limerick retailers and business groups.
The new website will be a dedicated online business listing and events guide for Limerick City and County with promotional opportunities for Limerick businesses including e-zines and online advertising.
Hellolimerick.ie is the brainchild of Deirdre Downes, a Limerick based web designer who said; “Following discussions with retailers, including some of the Roches Street Traders in Limerick City Centre and others it emerged that an online resource which offered businesses another platform for promotion at a reasonable cost was something which Limerick needed urgently. Hellolimerick.ie was developed based on this research and represents ‘Limerick businesses working for Limerick’.”
A definitive guide on where to shop, business services, where to eat and stay, where to take the kids and what to see and do, Hellolimerick.ie will incorporate the most up-to-date events listings for Limerick City & County. Charity, fundraising and community oriented events will be listed free of charge.
The current JNIR (Joint National Internet Research) figures show that Ireland has just under 2 million adult Internet users (55% of Irish adults) and this has been increasing year on year. Daily Internet usage has also been increasing with just under one million adults logging on every day of the week. More and more people are also shopping online and there was €12 million spent on goods and services online in Ireland last year, this has shown no sign of slowing down in spite of the recession.
