AHEAD of Ireland’s Autumn International series which begins this weekend, the coaching staff have named the Ireland ‘A’ Team to play Tonga in Ravenhill on Friday night. The team will be captained by Shane Horgan and also includes some experienced internationals in Peter Stringer and Neil Best. One omission remains vacant in the front row as a decision at hooker remains to be made as Jerry Flannery pushes hard to recover from injury and whether or not he’s ready to return to action.
To the 15 that start, Stringer will partner Ulster’s Ian Humphries in the half backs while Best will have Sean O’Brien and Chris Henry with him the backrow. There is also the exciting young centre partnership of Darren Cave and Fergus McFadden to set Belfast alight on Friday night.
Tickets for the game against Tonga are available online from www.ulsterrugby.ie. Don’t miss out on your chance to see some Ireland’s bright young stars in action.
