Next Thursday night October 29, a fashion show with a difference takes place at The Bailey Bar and Bistro in Patrick Street in aid of Milford Hospice. Host on the night will be Mr Ireland 2009 Kamal Ibrahim. The ‘Vintage Fashion Show’ will feature looks from old with some vintage inspired new looks too.
A charity donation at the door will get you access to the first event of its kind to take place at The Bailey. A generous cocktail and wine reception is promised and canapés will be served while Mr Ireland introduces local models in a range of old and new styles.
The familiar faces giving their time for the charity event include Miss Limerick Becky Costello, Miss Clare Sinead Hughes and model Lorraine McCarthy. Expect to see period costumes courtesy of the Georgian House, mixed with vintage look wedding dresses from Virginija’s Bridal, and old style shoes from Serendipity in Adare. Tony Connollys will ensure Kamal is perfectly presented in appropriate attire, and other shops also contributing to the unique event will be Sequoia Lane of O’Connell Street, Tippe Canoe of Shannon Street, Debenhams, and the Foolish Fairy of Adare. The eclectic mix of shops is topped off with genuine vintage pieces from The Edge, located at the Milk Market.
A fantastic raffle will be taking place on the night for some great prizes generously donated by partaking shops and more local businesses. If you would like further information, call to The Bailey Bar and Bistro on Patrick Street where Sinead Maguire has all the details, phone 061 410901 or email: [email protected].
