LIMERICK and Ireland has voted in favour of the Lisbon Treaty by a margin of 67.1% to 32.9%
In excess of 83,000 people went to the polls around the city and county on Friday with more than two thirds on them voting yes to the referendum. Vote counting began at 9am on Saturday at the University Arena. By 2.30pm, the official results were announced and showed 67.4% of voters in Limerick East and 69.3% of voters in Limerick West backed the referendum.
