THERE has been further disappointment for the region’s business community with announcement on Friday by CityJet to cease its service from Shannon to Paris.
The airline has revealed its four flights per day will end from October 24.
The global downturn is being blamed by the airline for reduced passenger numbers and it says the route is no longer sustainable.
A subsidiary of Air France, CityJet was also affected by Aer Lingus’ reinstatement of its Shannon to Heathrow route earlier this year.
