Friday August 28, sees Trinity Rooms revive one of the great Limerick Night time traditions, the Back 2 Skool Party. It’s a night when those who are long and not so long out of school uniform don them one more time for a night of fun, frolics and party games with a distinctly grown up twist. Kicking off at 9pm Trinity Rooms first Back 2 Skool Party introduces all the classic elements, jello shots, Twister, mysterious punch and great music.
Silent Disco as seen at every major festival this Summer provides another twist to the night. Trinity Rooms staff will give everyone a set of wireless headphones to listen to music where two DJ’s playing simultaneously on two separate channels, means you only listen to the music that you want to hear! If you don’t like the music from the first DJ just flick the switch and listen to the second DJ. Picture the scene.
You walk into the courtyard and you see 1000’s of people all dancing but you can’t hear any music? One of the DJ’s starts to play some Michael Jackson next thing you know half the crowd is singing “Billie Jean” while the other half of the crowd are chanting “Last Night” by the strokes! To spice things up they are dusting down original Doc’s DJ Robbie B and pitting him against Trinity Rooms’ Johnny Hammond in a Old V New Face off that will be won by who has the most people singing. In the Main Room, very special Guest MC Muzzy G will be keeping a strict eye on discipline along with Friday night resident Bono while the Homebass Crew move temporarily into T2 for the night with Viva Music playing cutting edge house and techno. Admission is free with your invite or in fancy dress so don’t hesitate and get ready for the party to round off your summer with Back 2 Skool at Trinity Rooms on Friday from 9pm.
