UPDATED – SOME hope has been given to the 370 workers at Element Six that their jobs could be saved as new talks gets under way.
Talks were held between the Shannon management and the chief executive of the Element Six group in London last week and continue again this week and the company advised all Shannon-based staff of the plan and has requested the full co-operation of all employees to sustain the Shannon operation.
A comprehensive plan is expected to be presented from the Shannon team in the coming days with a view to securing the support of the group.
