Appeal for assistance in Galway murder case

Crimestoppers, the national freephone crime fighting service, is appealing for information as to the whereabouts of Alexander Nadwodny in connection with the murder of Kieran Cunningham at Williamsgate St in Galway on June 3 last. Kieran Cunningham (20) was stabbed to death shortly after 2am on Wednesday June 3 shortly after he left a nearby nightclub. Mr. Nadwodny, 27 years of age, and a Polish National, is being sought by Gardai in connection with this crime. Mr. Nadwodny’s current whereabouts are unknown.

Gardai will be handing out information leaflets in English, Polish and Lithuanian on Shop St and Williamsgate St from 12pm-3pm this afternoon and from 11pm-2am tonight.

Superintendent Tom Curley said that: “We are appealing to anyone who may know of Mr Nadwodny’s current whereabouts to contact Crimestoppers. He may have travelled to another part of the country so if you believe you have seen him please let us know”.
