FOUR people were injured, one seriously, in a collision on a section of the Condell Road in the city on Friday morning.
The accident happened at Clonmacken on the Condell Road around 10am, when a car collided with a truck. There were four occupants, including two young children and a teenager in the car at the time. All four were taken to hospital. It has emerged that the driver of the car lost his fight for life in hospital.
The driver of the truck is being treated for shock.
Gardai are seeking witnesses to the accident and the scene remains sealed off while Garda crash experts examine the incident.
The crash caused delays in traffic throughout the city all day.
