Tech Summer Camps launched for Limerick youth

-

Compu b, Ireland’s only Apple Premium Reseller and based on O’Connell Street, has launched a series of Tech Summer Camps aimed at children from 8 to 15 years of age. The camps which run for 5 days each week in June, July and August will give children a practical and hands on experience of the latest technology from iPhoto to iMovie.

Each participant is given their very own laptop for the duration of the camp and will receive tutelage from a fully qualified trainer in all aspects of Apple technology.

At the end of each week each child will complete an interactive project which will be posted on the Euro Creator website. Each participant will then receive a signed certificate from Jan Figel, the European Commissioner for Education to acknowledge their proficiency in Apple technology.

An information afternoon for teachers and parents will take place on Wednesday June 3nd at 4pm and all are welcome. Compu b recently opened their brand new store on 17 O’Connell St (beside Brown Thomas) which includes a state of the art second floor training room where the Tech Summer Camp will take place.  The camp runs from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday and costs 150 euro per week.  Places are limited so contact [email protected] or call 061 440022 to secure you child’s place.
