CLARION Hotel Suites Limerick has won the Best Hotel in the Shannon Region Award, one of the Gulliver Ireland Tourism Accommodation Awards 2009.
The awards, which are in their fifth year, recognise online marketing excellence carried out by hotel, guesthouse, B&B and self-catering properties around the country through their partnership with Gulliver Ireland.
All Gulliver Ireland properties were evaluated on the basis of their online sales management, which included criteria such as room availability, allocation, competitive pricing and property information.
Speaking at the May 15 announcement, Dr Stewart Stephens, managing director of Gulliver Ireland, said, “This is a difficult time for the tourism industry. We can’t stress enough the importance for maintaining the strongest possible online presence by tourism properties. Good availability and competitive rates are fundamental to maximising their booking potential. The GoIreland.com website is a first-class online platform for accommodation providers to secure premium exposure to the domestic and overseas markets.”
The Clarion Hotel Suites Limerick opened in April 2006 and has been a leading hotel in the Shannon Region since. “It fills a gap in the market as it’s the only all suite hotel in the region,” observes Darragh Brady, general manager at the Ennis Road based hotel. “The suites act like a home from home offering guests every comfort such as a TV in the bedroom and a separate sitting room with dining area equipped with kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery. It’s a winning combination!”,
