City and county harmonise for Bealtaine

THE 14th Bealtaine Festival, celebrating creativity in older age, leads the way in encouraging people to participate fully and meaningfully in the arts. It’s whole focus is about recognising our capacity to grow and be creative as we age.

Coordinated by Age & Opportunity and running until May 31, its activities countrywide embrace art forms including theatre, literature, dance, film, storytelling, music, painting and critical events. Various venues throughout our own county are shoulder to the wheel in churning a mix of events for men and women.

Highlights include two National Drawing Day events on Sunday, May 23, at the Hunt Museum and the Limerick City Gallery of Art.
