A MAN has been arrested in connection with last month’s fatal stabbing of a teenager in Moyross.
The 25-year-old was arrested in Ennis on Thursday morning, and is being held at Mayorstone Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
18-year-old Darren Bennett received fatal stab wounds to his body when he was attacked in Moyross on March 18. He died later from his injuries at The Mid West Regional hospital in Dooradoyle. The killing sparked more violence and intimidation across the troubled estate.
It is understood a number of local youths were involved in the row that night at Creavel Park.
