GARDAI are investigating a robbery at the post office in Caherconlish, Co Limerick this morning.
It is understood three raiders, one carrying a wheel brace and another armed with a sledgehammer, entered the post office at around 9.30am and demanded money.
It is believed the raiders got away with only a small amount of cash as a time lock was in operation at the time.
It is thought a fourth raider may have been driving the getaway car.
The scene has being examined by garda forensic experts.
A car was later found near O’Briensbridge and Gardai believe it may have been used in the robbery.
