GARDAI are investigating the stabbing of a 17-year-old at a house in Moyross in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí were alerted to a quarrel at a house in Creavel Park just after 2am.
On arrival they found a 17-year-old lying in the front of the house. The youth had a stab wound to his abdomen.
He was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital but died a short time later.

Gardai sealed off the house and are awaiting the arrival of the State Pathologist to carry out a post mortem.
It is not clear yet how many people were involved in the confrontation.
