New chapter in building business

-

BUSINESSES in the Limerick area will be boosted this week with the launch of another local group by Irelandโ€™s biggest business referrals network. Business Network Internationalโ€™s Kingโ€™s Chapter is to hold its first meeting next Monday February 23 at the Strand Hotel in Limerick, with over 160 local business people expected to attend.

The meeting represents an impressive demand for marketing through referral, and demonstrates the success of BNIโ€™s approach. The new Chapter is the fourth in Limerick, the others being Thomond, Sarsfield, and Treaty โ€“ which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.

BNIโ€™s executive director Andrew Hart said that the launch event marked an opportunity for local firms to defy the recession and benefit from a dedicated focus on member referrals to generate new business and that; โ€œBNI is the largest and longest established business referrals organisation in the world.โ€

The launch event will begin with registration and open networking between 6.30pm and 7.00pm, followed by the official launch. There are currently 27 members in Kings Chapterโ€™s Core Group โ€“ an initial team established to set up the new chapter.

BNIโ€™s assistant director, Brian Moore is hosting the launch event and has promised to prove to Limerick businesses how they can not just survive, but thrive during a recession. โ€œAt our launch event weโ€™re going to share the secret of success behind our tried and trusted methods,โ€ Brian said and adding, โ€œFind out how business can grow by unlocking a steady stream of business referrals.

โ€œBNIโ€™s has over 13,000 members in Ireland and the UK generating 285 million euro of business last year alone. Iโ€™d urge local businesses to attend on the night and find out more.โ€

BNI was launched 24 years ago by โ€˜word of mouthโ€™ marketing guru Dr Ivan Misner and has grown into a hugely successful global business network.
