Slow food news and AGM

-

IN addition to the Slow food news that I brought you last week, the convivium leaders were on to say that Slow Food Limerick & Region is open for new positions on their committee. The AGM will be held on Saturday Feb 7th, 3pm at the new Number One Pery Square Hotel who are kindly providing their delicious scones with coffee in the drawing room.

Leadership and committee member positions are open to interested parties. In line with Slow Food international protocol, only members can vote and be elected to the committee so it is important to check that your membership is updated before attending.

Attendance at the AGM is strictly RSVP and those interested in going forward for a position should nominate themselves in advance through email ([email protected]).

It is time for new some new Slow Food members, producers and restaurateurs to fly the flag for Limerick & Region and have fun being involved with organising educational, gourmet and cultural events celebrating artisan and good food locally.

Grace Fitzgerald notes that; “It has been my pleasure to have started-up Slow Food in 2007, launching and leading Slow Food Limerick & Region with a wonderful team of ladies, Anne Fox, Ellen O Connell and Jo Page, and I take this opportunity to pass on the baton and take my leave, thanking Anne Fox particularly for leading the best part of 2008 and congratulate the all the new nominees stepping up to the posts!
