GRIFFITH College’s Limerick campus has relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility at 31 / 32 Upper William Street in the heart of Limerick city.
Noting the significance of the occasion, director of the College Mr Kevin O’Sullivan said; “In these difficult times we offer people a genuine opportunity to improve their skills and look to a brighter future for themselves and their families”.
GCL offers courses in Business, Accounting and Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Marketing and Psychology, among others.
Commenting on the courses available, Mr O’Sullivan made that point that “Our courses are designed to fill the needs of business and industry and we try to be proactive in matching our education and training programmes with the present and future needs of the prospective employers of our graduates.
“This year is no exception and we have introduced two new programmes that will start next month”.
At the top end there is a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology (PgD SBIT). This will run on a part-time basis from next month, a Level 9 designed to provide students with relevant management skills and an understanding of the strategic issues in an Information Technology environment. This programme also offers a fast-track route to progress to the Master of Science Degree (MSc SBIT) awarded by the University of Portsmouth.
“We are also launching the Higher National Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering and these two new offerings will augment the other excellent courses we deliver”, said the GCL director.
GCL’s comprehensive and work-relevant programmes are available in both part time and full time modes. See www.gcl.ie or call 061-310031 or 310043 for more information.
An open night will take place this Thursday January 22 from 4.30pm to 7pm. All are welcome to visit the new campus at Upper William Street and check out the courses available.
