LIMERICK Post sports writers, Donn O’Sullivan and Andrew Carey, reaped the rewards of bringing some of the best sportsnews coverage to a worldwide audience when their Limerick Post Sports blog was nominated for a prestigious Irish Blog award in the category of Best Sports and Recreation Blog this week.
Widely held as the Oscar’s of the online community and it’s bloggers, the awards are a long standing mark of excellence, and nominations are keenly sought.
Still in its first year, the Limerick Post Sports Blog was the brainchild of the sports team at Limerick Post as the need arose to maximise the coverage given to a wide variety of sports to the online community.
The Sports Blog adds to the already successful sections of the paper that offers its readers a wide variety of coverage at local, national and international levels, and priding itself in its promotion of all things Limerick.
Furthermore, both writers were nominated in the Mid West Arts Media and Culture awards for contributions in the best sports category.
