Limerick manager rings in new year with top award

*O2 Customer Care Centre  ‘Contact Centre of the Year’
CONTINUING to produce top quality workers to industry, Limerick received a timely boost when Limerick man, and O2 employee, Eoin O’Sullivan, was named ‘Contact Centre Manager of the Year,’ at the 13th Irish Contact Centre and Shared Services Centre Awards.

 

The centre, with the ability to handle over four million calls each year to its helpdesk and customer service agents, was also named overall winner of The Contact Centre of the Year for its Customer Care Centre based in Plassey, Limerick, and Best Technical Support Centre / Helpdesk.

O2 employs almost 500 people in its Customer Care Centre.

Commenting, Rod Coleman, head of customer care – Telefonica O2 Ireland, said, “This is an amazing achievement for everyone in O2 Customer Care, and a real credit to Limerick where we are based. The Irish Contact Centre and Shared Services Centre Awards, are organised by the Contact Centre Managers Association (CCMA).
