A New York City Block Party is when a whole neighbourhood gets together, closes the street, rolls out some big speakers, gets down to some funky sounds and has a good time. It’s in this same spirit that Trinity Rooms throws open the doors each and every Friday for some of the freshest R n B and Hip Hop grooves mixed in with an ace selection of party tunes and classics.
Kicking off with a free pre-party in the clubhouse bar with Erick Fitz playing stone cold Hip Hop classics from 9pm where if you’re in before 11 you get free admission to the club, Block Party Fridays is all about creating a feel good party vibe to let you know the weekend has arrived.
When the main room opens at 11, things hot up as Johnny Hammond unveils his essential selection effortlessly combing the freshest cuts from the likes of Rhianna to Eminem with stone cold classics like the Sugar Hill Gang and Ice Cube in the mix alongside disco gold from the Jackson 5 and Chic. You can loose it on the dance floor which houses a Funktion One Sound system or relax at the brand new Bacardi B Bar where the club’s expert mixologists have a list of over 150 cocktails at their fingertips or can make your own favourite to order.
With Trinity Rooms celebrating it’s third consecutive win at the Hospitality Ireland Awards 08/09, Block Party Fridays sums up all that is great about the three room venue underneath the vaults of the 300 year old Granary. Top class music played by expert DJs, service with a smile and that unquantifiable warm feeling that only a truly great night out can bring. Block Party is at Trinity Rooms every Friday from 9pm with Free Admission before 11pm and before Midnight for Trinity Rooms Members.
