Helen Cody last week received her prestigious Irish Tatler Designer of the Year Award sponsored by Moët & Chandon, which was announced recently at the annual Irish Tatler Women of the Year Awards. Helen joins previous Moët & Chandon Designer of the Year winners such as Quin & Donnelly, Deborah Veale and Lainey Keogh.
As one of Ireland’s most prolific fashion designers, Helen Cody has over two decades of experience in the international fashion scene. She graduated in fashion and textiles from NCAD before moving to Paris to work for French Vogue magazine. In 2000, she set up her own fashion label in Ireland and has since won the admiration of celebrity fans such as Charlize Theron, Ali Hewson and Cecelia Ahern.
Caroline Sleiman, Market Development Manager for Moët Hennessey, said; “The purpose of this award is to recognise excellence in Irish fashion. There is a vast pool of talent in Ireland when it comes to fashion design – one only needs to look at the list of previous winners of this award to see that. Helen is a truly talented and unique designer and we are absolutely thrilled to recognise her talent with this special award.”
